Set Your Goals And Make Them Happen

Set Your Goals and Make Them Happen

Set Your Goals and Make Them Happen

If you have little interest in the outcome of something, chances are that you won’t put

your best work into making that goal a reality.

Whether your goal is to make a million dollars or to write a novel from start-to-finish, it’s essential that you take time to consider WHY these goals are important to you and why there’s value in achieving them. Without a continuous and clear focus, goals may frequently change,  and too many can leave you with too little time to accomplish any of them.

Goal achievement requires commitment, so to maximize the likelihood of success, it helps to feel a sense of urgency and have an “I’ve got to do this” attitude.

When you begin planning out your goal, be sure to write down WHY it’s valuable and important to you. Ask yourself, “If I were to share my goal with others, what would I say to convince them  it’s worthwhile?” Think of it as your personal mission statement.

If your goal is to lose 20 pounds by your wedding in four months, but you don’t have a system in place, you’re going to be hard-pressed to lose that weight.

What’s the difference between goals and systems? If your goal is to lose 20 pounds, your system is the diet plan and workout schedule you would follow each week to achieve your goal.

Think of a system as an action plan.
Here’s why systems are essential: Your goal can seem far away and impossible at times, your system (the day-to-day stuff) is much easier to grasp and wrap your head around. Better yet, by creating a system, you’re creating habits that will help you maintain your goal in the long-term.

In other words: Goals are useful for PLANNING progress while systems are useful for MAKING progress.

“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy, and  inspires your hopes.” – Andrew Carnegie

  1. Ebooks

Ebooks are an excellent way to provide useful information to your client base and establish yourself as an expert in your field. When you write an ebook, make sure you include the links to your website and blog on each page so that your clients can reach you through your website link. You can sell your ebook, offer free downloads as a bonus for signing up on your website, or use it as a value addition for some of your clients.

Online Courses are among the latest trends and are a very convenient way to market your life coaching practice. I suggest registering with an online course platform to get started. I use teachable, which is just one of the many platforms you can choose.

Teaching an online course is a lot easier than you think. I taught my first class through Skillshare which is another platform for the creators. Eliminate Toxic People From Your Life

Eliminate Toxic People From Your Life

Saying goodbye to toxic people may be easier said than done. But you’re worth it!  Just like negativity breeds negativity, the same goes for positivity. To start the process of eliminating toxic people from your life, you need to identify the Debbie Downers.  Who in your life leaves you feeling down after interactions? If a relationship is weighing on you more than it’s building you up, it’s time to let go.  Now I know what you’re thinking, what about people who are permanent fixtures in your life, such as family members? My answer to that is there’s no reason to put up with people saying or doing unkind things.  The key to protecting yourself from toxic relationships is setting boundaries.  First, identify your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual limits. What makes you feel uncomfortable or stressed?  Some relationships will require a direct conversation about your boundaries, while others won’t. Merely tuning into your feelings can be enough to tell you a boundary is being crossed, and you need to remove yourself for the conversation.  Fear is a universal emotion that holds us back from sticking to our boundaries. For example, we might fear other’s responses if we set and enforce our boundaries. Feeling guilty by speaking up or saying no to a family member is another common fear.  Give yourself permission to set boundaries and work to preserve them.  Two cues that signal you that you’re letting go of our boundaries are discomfort and resentment.  Once you learn your boundaries and live within them, you’ll feel lighter and much happier.  Have you eliminated toxic people?  Share your comment below.
